As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

Josephine Keller is a girl from a small town in Texas with a dream of making it in the fashion industry. She's finished school and has been writing a very charming fashion blog for some years, and is ready to get her life going in New York. Things are tough, but Jo pushes forward landing an assistant position for the brother of a designer who is temporarily running his sister's company. The work is great, and so is her boss Julian. It is clear that Julian and Jo are very into one another, but Jo is scared to risk losing her career if she gives in to her feelings for Julian and then things don't work out.
As with the other books I've read by this author, this one was a complete delight. Jo is a character who is easy to love, and cheer on. She's smart, funny, and genuine. She's snarky, but kind to others. Julian is pretty spectacular as well. He comes from money, and is very put-together, but the way he is with Jo and his friends, shows that he is a genuine person and friend. Also, he's smoking hot and the chemistry between he and Jo is scorching. Watching Jo come into her career in New York, and experiencing the friendship between her and Julian develop into something more was very rewarding. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun sexy read, and I will most definitely be reading more by this author in the future.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
